Exploration #1 – Malta, Sliema rock pools

I have had the good fortune of seeing a few different countries in 2019, so I gathered a ton of reference images to create a material series – Exploration.
The first one is from Sliema, the hotel district in Malta where I was for a work event trip. Being a small island there was no natural beaches, the coast was surrounded in these light rocky bays, which had been carved and battered by the waves, creating large smooth weathered areas and extremely sharp jagged areas the closer to the coast.
